Sept. 22^nd:  Screen Printing- The Easy Way!!  Make your own design then print onto a T-shirt, Purse, Fabric Bag, etc. Great for lasting impressions of your artwork.  Keep one for yourself and give a second as a gift!!!

October 6^th:  A Perfect Painting for Fall -  Students will explore a variety of different color schemes and choose an expressive way to paint a

bouquet of fall flowers!! Students will be looking at historical flower paintings from a variety of artists; Van Gogh, O'Keeffe, Monet, Janet Fish.

October 20^th:  Picture Writing - Students will be combining Art and Literacy to create a story on paper.  Much like reading a story, students will

be telling a story through their art work.  After all, doesn't all art tell some sort of story!! This lesson will help the students, "Picture" what they are trying

 to write about.  Students will be looking at story telling artists such as, Faith Ringgold, Carmen Lomez Garza, and Jacob Lawrence.

Nov. 17th:  Blind Contour Drawings...And Beyond!!  Students will learn about the magic of blind contour and how this simple skill teaches them to "see" the subject matter in a new way!  These abstractions will be completed with mixed media and are worthy of exhibition!! Taught by:  Debi West, Ed.S, NBCT

December 1st:  Still Life Sketching!  From blind contour drawing to contour drawing to sketching what we see....the doors of art will open wide in this fun class filled with line, shape and color!  Seeing was never so much Fun!      Taught by:  Debi West, Ed.S, NBCT
